  *Short Version*: Orkin guy came and treated house. Ant problem got worse and came second time with attitude. Problem still continued so we just ended up buying Terro bait/traps to fix it. Waste of money calling Orkin. *Long Version*: Had a huge ant problem in new house and a few roaches. Orkin guy came and was very polite and 'treated' the entire house and gave suggestions to prevent future problems. They originally wanted us to sign a 1-year treatment plan but we said we wanted to see how effective the first treatment was before committing. 2 days after treatment more and more ants starting coming out and spreading to parts of the house we never had a problem with. Called support and they said it was a usually thing to see right after treatment and wait 10 days (looked online and this checked out). 2 weeks pass and the problem was 10x worse than before. Called again and while on hold I hear the machine mention their satisfaction guarantee and if treatment doesn't work they will come back and re-treat. So I tell this to the rep and he agrees to send someone to my house ASAP free of charge. The next day the same guy came from the first treatment came and instead of being the polite, talkative person like last time, he hardly spoke and had a dirty look like I personally complained about him or something. He subtly accused us of doing something to interfere with the treatment like "spraying windex" or "cleaning the solution off" which we didn't do and then said how we shouldn't even be getting this 2nd treatment free since we aren't yearly customers. I mention their guarantee and how we didn't want the year deal in case it didn't work (guess I was right). He said that guarantee is only for contract customers. (After treatment we called support to complain and this time they sided with the tech and said we shouldn't have gotten a free treatment). His second visit didn't even cover the whole house like last time. He treated the kitchen and dining room then walked outside. I thought he was getting more poison but he actually got his phone for me to sign off the 2nd treatment. I didn't bother asking why he only did 2 rooms in a 4,000 sqft house. A week later we still saw ants and, realizing how great their customer support team is, we decided against calling them again and just going to walmart to get poison ourselves. Turns out $15-20 of Terro products beats $150 treatment. If you just have a bug problem save yourself the money and do it yourself.

  The tech Sam was on time, very good at what he was doing very polite. And guaranteed a follow visit and we would be happy if not they won't stop until we are. Do we will keep you posted. Thanks Sam.
